HEADING SOUTH found myself strugglin‘ with an invention of myself, kept pushing and pulling me like I was on my way to hell found myself in broad dayllight, lying in my bed, two o‘ clock in the afternoon, I got a pillow over my head found myself in a strange state that wouldn’t fit in any frame guess I was just sick of playing the game told myself to stop this scene, this flickerin‘ blue TV screen, to clear the things up and then get out of town now I’m heading down to the south coast leaving my blues on the road yes, I’m feelin‘ alright with the sun in my back and a song on my mind I’m taking it easy, all the way don’t judge me, honey, for the darkness I have gone through, you’ve got your own map and I got mine I moved to many places, to find love and joy and familiar faces still trying to figure it out, I guess that is what it’s all about now I’m heading down to the south coast leaving my blues on the road yes, I’m feelin‘ alright with the sun in my back and a song on my mind I’m taking it easy, all the way I’m taking it easy, all the way

I’VE FORGOTTEN HOW TO SING sing my love , oh sing for me, and fill my ears with gold will you still sing in fourty years, like Joan is doing so? I have forgotten how to sing, I have forgotten why will you, my love, sing for me, and bring my old heart home? I knew the way by heart but now my eyes can’t cry no more sing my love, oh sing for me, and bring my old heart home

Maria 06:01
MARIA I’m dazed with cider and misery and you ain’t got nothing better to do than laugh at me you feel my glances, my eager eyes they’re eating you alive one might think that enough is enough but I’m just a man Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you countless the hairs that you painted grey countless the days that you painted gold you the light in my deepest woods my freedom my strength the soothing hand on my aching heart you know you’re my world and we could never bear to be apart Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you and when you speak to me wisdom in poetry truth is you and me by the rock you tied to my feet I’ll get sucked in too deep in an ocean of pain you created for me but I’ll be the one running down the plank Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you Maria, I’ve never stopped loving you Maria, how could I ever stop you Maria, I’ll never stop loving you

34 CIGARETTES you made it holy, made it right now it's up to me to keep it in my mind that moment that won't ever return not for money not for gold we won't get it back you left me breathless not a word out of my mouth you put perfection right into my ears you woke my thoughts on deeper ground bringin' up all that I am, that I need oh, please let me just breathe I'm doin' fine, I'm doin' well all I need are 34 cigarettes right now and a little time to cool down where are you tonight? you could have been right beside me all in all is it just a sequence of decisions or is it more? more to bear than the two hours we didn't share can I keep it holy and right before I have to leave? I'm doin' fine, I'm doin' well all I need are 34 cigarettes right now and a little time to cool down

ONCE A YEAR I FALL IN LOVE once a year I fall in love It’s getting less I fell hard and I fell often but it’s getting less at seventeen the arms of many were a home to me – but I didn’t know home at twentyfour the trees in Georgia grew still high and more – I wasn’t scared at thirtyone will I have lost my ability to feel young – did I ever feel young? sometimes a girl gets carried away and 'you were never mine to lose‘, I’ll have to say back in the day the teacher claimed ce qu’il me dit c’est vrai – et maitenant je sais c’est important de faire la main sur l‘aprentissage d’une langue – où tu oubliera and I’ll be walking home in a summer breeze that isn’t half as warm as winter in your arms sometimes a girl gets carried away and you were never mine to lose

ALL IS GOLD AND GREEN take me by the paw and we’ll fly away to a land of gold and green where noise dissipates and where all the pain will vanish with the wind and the sea oh when will we get lost again? lost in the swell take me by the claw and we’ll run away faster than their lies ideas of values not anchored in us out of sight and out of mind oh when will we get lost again? lost in the swell take me by the paw/claw and then guide me home to your truths and your desires your depth is my wood and you’ll borrow my light to set this cosmic fire oh when will we get lost again? lost in the swell oh when will we get lost again? lost in the swell

Decade 06:10
DECADE I gotta find a new bar this one’s closing up for good gotta find new streets I know every corner of this dark neighbourhood gotta find a new band this one won’t finish their tune gotta find a new man this one is sailing other seas oh, when a decade comes to an end oh, there are many a matter to mend I gotta find new shoes mine are worn out by miles and miles of one way streets I gotta find new friends I’ve hurt every single one one to many times oh, when a decade comes to an end reminiscence will be your only friend I’ve got to move out of this town there is no use for me to stay around I’ve messed up every thing I had ten years ago ten years ago who built these tracks when a decade comes to an end will another one come and take you by the hand

Rosewood Man 04:23
ROSEWOOD MAN oh rosewood man, oh rosewood man you've heard her heart, but what could you do? oh rosewood man if you had arms but grains aren't veins and wood isn't skin oh rosewood man if you had feet you'd ask your wildwood flower for a dance but you've got neither arms nor legs just a wildwood heart that yearns for her glance the rosewood man prayed to the wind he prayed to the wind to make him human so he could dance with her through the night in her honey gold dress 'til the morning light but the wind denied his only wish, „I can't make a man“ he said „of a piece of wood. And you better understand yourself, you're a wooden case and you'll be for good.“ oh, rosewood man what do you do? stay away from the fire, you'll burn your neck but the rosewood man says caught in pain „if I can't bleed I shall burn“ the embers get greedy, the flames grow higher soon he'll lie down where his brothers yet rest the air in its strength feeds the red glowing beast oh god have mercy on a lovers ache oh god have mercy on.... oh rosewood man, my rosewood man your wildwood flower has heard your heart you're more than just a piece of wood you're my muse and you'll be for good now dance and sing with me trough the night you'll be my man and I'll be your bride

Penguins 01:37
PENGUINS love, it works in funny ways springs turn into seas love, it works in funny ways suddenly you and me become we and I still feel free love, it works in funny ways boys turn into men love, it works in funny ways and then I can finally fall asleep next to my best friend love, it works in funny ways darkness turns to light love, it works in funny ways sometimes what we see is not all that we see, I fell for you, all we needed was a little time now you turned into my man and I’ll be your bride

about

Romie Germany

We're a harmony duo from Germany but we kinda feel Ireland should be our home.
We recorded our first full length album there which will be released in autumn 2020.
Our music was once described as "progressive-doom-jazz" and we can't say we don't like it! :D
But it would probably be described as New-Folk/Singer-Songwriter/Americana.
Hope to meet y'all soon on the road!
Love always,
J&P
